How old does my son or daughter have to be to start driver’s education classes?
>>The State of New Hampshire requires that students entering driver’s ed be at least 15 years and 9 months on the first day of class. Students may, however, begin driving with their parents or guardian at age 15 1/2.
How much does it cost for the course?
>>The eight week class costs $875. This includes 30 hours in the classroom, 10 hours of driving instruction and 6 hour in car observation with Driving Legends. A non-refundable deposit of $350 is required at the time of registration. The remaining balance of $525 is due no later than the first week of class.
How do I register my son or daughter?
>>Click here to access the registration forms online. A deposit of $350 is required to hold your place. Once we confirm your registration your deposit becomes non-refundable and non-transferable. After your registration is confirmed, send a copy of the student’s birth certificate to Driving Legends NH, 5 Ledge Road, #1 Windham, NH 03087
When are classes?
>>Classes are Monday and Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00. We have added another class on Wednesday & Thursdays. Click here to view the class schedule.
Where are classes being held?
>>Classes are being held in Windham at 5 Ledge Road, Suite #1. Ledge Road is off of Route 111, near the high school. There is a parent/student orientation the last 10 minutes of the first night of class.
What are the driving requirements?
>>Students will have 10 hours of driving instruction and 6 hours of in care observation with Driving Legends NH. Driving hours are after school, evenings, or Saturdays and will be scheduled during the first week of classes. Students should have time in their schedule to drive up to two hours per week. In addition, students must drive at least 40 hours with their parents or another adult over the age of 25 with a valid driver’s license before going to the DMV for their license.
What are the requirements to get a NH Driver’s license?
>>in New Hampshire, students under the age of 18 are required to take and pass a driver’s education course with a minimum grade of 80% and meet certain driving requirements. Upon completion and meeting requirements, students receive a paper showing their completion that they will need to present to the DMV. Students will be provided with additional necessary paperwork to apply for a driver’s license. To get a license, students must pay a $50 fee, pass an eye test, take a written and driving test. Further information will be provided to students in class.
